The Body Project is a group-based intervention for high school-aged girls that targets body image concerns. The group teaches adolescents to challenge unrealistic appearance ideals and develop a healthier body image. Through written, verbal, and behavioral exercises, participants learn and practice using tools that help them resist pressures to conform to societal beauty ideals, view and talk about their bodies more positively, and support others in challenging unhealthy body image expectations.

The program takes place over 4-6 sessions and can be delivered in school or other community settings.
