Jamie Micco

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Dr. Jamie Micco is a clinical psychologist and a Lecturer in Psychology (Part-Time) at Harvard Medical School. She is Board Certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and mood disorders. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Virginia.

Dr. Micco graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Psychology and English. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University, where she completed her clinical and research training at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. She then finished her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in clinical psychology (child/adult track) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Following her training, Dr. Micco remained at MGH as a staff psychologist and clinical researcher, where her research focused on information-processing biases in anxious and depressed youth and development of new treatments for this population. She also served as the director of an intensive CBT service within the Child CBT Program at MGH. She currently maintains a clinical appointment at MGH as a supervisor and member of the selection committee for pre-doctoral interns in child/adolescent psychology.

Dr. Micco has first-authored or co-authored peer-reviewed publications on topics related to child/adolescent anxiety and depression, CBT, and information-processing biases. She is currently on the editorial board of the academic journal Cognitive and Behavioral Practice. She is also the author of “The Worry Workbook for Teens: Effective CBT Strategies to Break the Cycle of Chronic Worry and Anxiety,” published by New Harbinger (June 2017).

Dr. Micco is an active member of several professional organizations. She is a faculty member of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF), and she has held several leadership positions within the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA). She is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and Massachusetts Psychological Association (MPA).

Dr. Micco is a frequent presenter at national conferences. She also presents to clinicians, trainees, and lay audiences in the metro Boston area and provides professional consultation to clinicians working with complex comorbidity, including the co-occurrence of OCD, school avoidance, depression, and/or self-harm.
